Montego Bay

Next on the tour is the city of Montego Bay. Montego Bay is another very popular destination in Jamaica known to locals as Mobay. Many ships dock in the city which also has an international airport. The city is approximately 81km (50-miles) by road northeast of Negril. The trip is usually about 2 hours by bus.

Did you know?

A variation of the Spanish word for lard "manteca" is believed to be the reason the city is named Montego Bay.
